SharitySpace™ emerged in Santa Monica in 2021 with a clear mission: to revolutionize everyday giving by streamlining and enhancing the process for everyone involved. The idea had been brewing within the team for years, inspired by the desire to extend the benefits of "Instant Gratification" and immediate support to underserved communities. However, it was the firsthand experience of volunteering with local food banks in Los Angeles during the pandemic, as well as technological progress, in particular through AI, that ignited the spark for change.
As the team witnessed the profound struggles individuals and families in their community faced, they realized the urgent need to upend the approach to community giving back.
The pandemic had only exacerbated longstanding financial hardship, primarily by limiting access to essential resources, while traditional methods of charitable giving declined, mainly due to growing doubts about transparency and efficacy.
Driven by stakeholder research and feedback from recipients and donors, SharitySpace™ embarked on a journey to redefine the philanthropic landscape. By placing beneficiaries' needs at the forefront and leveraging cutting-edge AI-powered technologies, the team is developing a solution that not only addresses immediate needs but also fosters long-term empowerment and a sustained path to recovery.
SharitySpace™ will be the first solution on the market to give donors complete transparency while allowing them to track the progress of every beneficiary they support.
